SUSAN PAPAZIAN
Susan Papazian is a second-generation migrant and LGBTI artist and photographer specialising in portraits, corporate headshots and personal branding photography. Melbourne-born and bred, currently Sydney-based, Susan was a finalist in the HeadOn 2020 & 2021 Photography Awards and a Semi-finalist in the prestigious Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize 2019.
Inspired by her grandparents' fleeing from the Armenian genocide and her parents' migration from Egypt to Australia in the 1960s, Susan's ability to connect with people through visual storytelling is a huge part of her work. Her greatest strength and ambition as a photographer is to reveal people's beauty and courage through her images.
In 2021 she also published her first book 'Behind Glass' through Libraryman books (BE).
